Jumbo 1,2, 3

Hello

As you know I do like taking part in challenges and especially making Jumbos for swaps
I made these jumbos to swap with a good friend, it was her turn to choose the theme and it was quite simple – use at least one button.
Last Friday I went off to a local craft shop with one of the class lady’s, and I fell in love with the new range of dies by Sweet Dixie...if you scroll back a few days you will see a baby card I made using the pram and rattle die.
So for my 3 jumbos I started by printing out 3 of the pretty gingham papers that are free to download here:
Make sure you check out the printable sheets and kits at very affordable prices.
So as I said I printed 3 sheets, the aqua, mint and lemon sheets, I trimmed these down using a scallop edge trimmer so they fit with a thin all round border my jumbos which measure 9.5cmx14cm, they were stuck using double sided tape. (I use mount board for my jumbos and atcs, just ask at your local picture framers for off cuts)

So on the jumbo with aqua backing paper I added a shoe that I cut from the Sweet Dixie die using adorable scorable card in pale blue, I also cut the word friends in white and silver using a Sizzix die. I stuck the shoe to the jumbo landscape so it fitted, and then stuck the silver friends at an angle across it then stuck the pale blue word just off the silver to give a shadow, there was a heart with the friends so added that again using the silver as a shadow.

I decorated the jumbo with 5 buttons, so 2 pretty blue flower buttons were stuck along the bottom right hand side, used a lovely button with texture, threaded ribbon and trimmed, this was stuck in the top left corner.

A tiny dark blue button was threaded with narrow dark blue ribbon and stuck in the centre of the flower on the shoe and the last button was heart shaped and was stuck at the end of the word. I used glossy accents to stick all the buttons in place.
And that was the Aqua jumbo finished.

The 2nd jumbo was the same idea but had lemon gingham paper as the base of the jumbo, I used Sweet Dixie butterfly die and used a pale peach adorable scorable card, and this was also used for the word.

I used a lovely scented peach paper to back the wings.

This jumbo has just 3 buttons, a small sunflower button was stuck under the word, then a beautiful pearl cluster button was stuck to the butterfly body and finally a cream button with pretty gem inset was placed in the bottom left corner. A few AB gems were stuck in the centre of the flowers of the wings.

The last jumbo was using the mint gingham paper and Sweet Dixie handbag die, i used mint adorable scorable card to cut the bag, heart and friends and silver mirri to cut friends and the heart.

I only used 2 buttons, a smooth pale green un the centre of the flower and a gold with glitter green button was stuck in the bottom left corner, ab gems were stuck in the flower centres.
The backing paper on here looks pink and mint, its just my camera, the backing is mint and white as in the previous photos.

So just to recap, I used 3 of the 5 free gingham backing papers from
